Der Monday Roast kommt heute von N.E.S.T.A. und bringt Kisten voll mit Deep Cuts, Vinyl im Überfluss und eine Hommage an das Ark Studio von Großmeister Lee Scratch Perry. Wer sich mit noch nicht mit dem Meister des Dub, seinem Studio und dem immensen Einfluss den es auf Musikproduktion, Technik, Sound und Hör- bzw. Spielgewohnheiten hatte, auseinandergesetzt hat – dem sei verziehen – aber ein Tauchgang in die Geschichte ist allemal lohnenswert! Heute zelebrieren 6 DJs bei uns an den Decks im *Wohnzimmer den Spirit des Ark Studios – und drehen seltene Platten bis spät nach dem Sonnenuntergang. One for the heads!

Today’s Monday Roast is curated by N.E.S.T.A. and brings crates full of deep cuts, vinyl galore and is meant as a tribute to grandmaster Lee Scratch Perry’s and his Ark Studio. If you’re not yet familiar with the master of dub, his studio and the immense influence it had on music production, technology, sound and listening and playing habits, you’re forgiven – but a dive into its history is always worthwhile! Today, 6 DJs will be celebrating the spirit of Ark Studio on the decks in our *Wohnzimmer – they be spinning rare records until late after sunset. One for the heads!
