Am 8. März ist der Internationale Feministische Kampftag – wie schon letztes Jahr kommt das FEMQUENCY Kollektiv zu uns und übernimmt beide Floors. Das Kollektiv setzt sind in verschiedenen Dimensionen für Gleichberechtigung und Empowerment von FLINTA* in Clubkultur und der elektronischen Musikszene ein.
Auch wenn diese Themen gefühlt in den letzten Jahren mehr Öffentlichkeit bekommen und scheinbar stärker im Bewusstsein der Gesellschaft, Kulturschaffenden, Clubs, Venues und Veranstaltenden angekommen sind – Statistiken zeigen weiterhin eklatante Ungleichheiten und belegen wie viel Arbeit hier von allen Beteiligten noch geleistet werden muss. Grassroots Projekte wie FEMQUENCY sind eine große Bereicherung für die Szene, schaffen Verbindung, Gemeinschaft und Sichtbarkeit – aber auch Raum für Diskussion und gegenseitiges Learning.
Neben einer Clubnacht mit FLINTA* DJs aus dem FEMQUENCY Umfeld, gibt nicht nur einen DJ Workshop (Anmeldung nötig) mit betreutem Auflegen zum Warm Up im *Club „Hinter den Alpen“ – sondern auch eine Panel Diskussion zum Thema „Safer Spaces“ vorab, die für alle Interessierten frei zugänglich ist.
Bei aller nötigen Ernsthaftigkeit bleibt natürlich die Feierei nicht zu kurz.

With the International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, we are very happy to welcome the FEMQUENCY collective to our roof. The collective follows are multidimensional approach for supporting, empowering and giving visibility to FLINTA* in (Berlin-) clubculture and the electronic music scene. It may seem that the scene has reached more equality, but if we look at the statistics it is clear that there is still a far way to go – even if there seems to be more awareness towards this topic in the public, the media, in clubs, venues or with promoters – and how much everyone still has to do to break through old structures. Grassroots projects like FEMQUENCY are a great example how collectives can bring empowerment, visibility and most important community.
As usual, FEMQUENCY will bring a DJ workshop for FLINTA* (application only) with a public warm up DJ Set by the attendees in our *Club „Hinter den Alpen“. Before the club night the collective will host a panel discussion on the topic of „Safer Spaces“ – which will be open to everyone interested.
Besides all the given seriousness: let’s have a party! The line up brings us SINAMIN, dorsch, Lamara b2b Haana Peony and many more from the FEMQUENCY bubble.
