Jazzanova is many things to many different people. For more than fifteen years the eclectic collective from Berlin has been busy producing, composing, arranging, remixing, DJing and generally shaping our musical world – in the clubs, on the air, in the studio, live on stage, and with their label Sonar Kollektiv.

DANIEL W. BEST

At a time when DJing is less about connecting with music lovers and more about branding, play counts and frequent flyer miles, DANIEL W. BEST’s approach is so straightfor- ward that it’s almost groundbreaking: an egoless passion, a fine-tuned ear and most important, an open mind with good taste. Although he prefers to call himself a music activist rather than a DJ, Best has over two decades of experience behind the decks, getting crowds onto their feet whether he plays Jazz, Soul, Reggae, Rare Groove, Disco or House – sometimes all within the same set, always on vinyl.

MARKUS TONE

Markus has been working as a DJ and event-organizer for over 20 years, despite his young age. As a founding member of the Beatkollektiv, he has shaped the Wedding Soul events series over many years, bringing numerous national and international musicians and DJs to Berlin. With his DJ sets, spanning from Soul to Disco to House, he regularly inspires audiences in and outside of Berlin.
